The New Saints Women progressed to Bute Energy Welsh Cup Round Two following a 10-0 victory over Bangor at Park Hall Stadium.

Tiggy Webb netted four, Catlin Chapman scored a hat-trick, with the other goals coming from Lexie Harrison, Charlotte Crees, and, Maria Francis-Jones.

Mikey Harris’ team were on top throughout the encounter and deserved the win.

The New Saints opened the scoring in the 11th minute, as Caitlin Chapman played a ball across the box that found Lexie Harrison, who netted from a few yards out.

It was 2-0 for the Saints not long later, when the roles were reversed with Harrison passing the ball across to Gibraltar International, Chapman, across the penalty area, and the number 17 scored from point-blank range.

Saints came close to a third in the 19th minute through a long-range Tilly Edge attempt.

There was a third in the 21st minute, as Chapman crossed in a corner that found Tiggy Webb, who headed the ball into the net.

Number four came on the half hour, and it was a replica of the second when Harrison played the ball across the box to Chapman, who scored from a couple of yards out.

Chapman grabbed a hat-trick in the 36th minute, as former Birmingham City player, Charlotte Crees, played a ball into the front post that Chapman ran on, and connected with to score.

The sixth goal, and the best of the game, came from Crees before half-time, when a brilliant shot from 25-yards out went into the top of the net.

Before the hour, Harrison had a good strike in the box that was saved well by Catrin Roberts.

There was a fourth in added-on-time for Webb, as another battle in the box led to the ball fall falling to Webb, who got on the end of the ball for TNS’ tenth to finish up a great performance.

It is back to Genero Adran Premier action next week, as it is a trip to take on the league’s defending champions, Cardiff City, at Leckwith Stadium.
